Faithhunt is a personal spiritual growth app that helps you maintain a journaling practice, reflect on Scripture, and receive faith-based feedback on your entries through an AI-powered Christian companion.
We take your privacy seriously — especially because your journal entries are personal and spiritually sensitive. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Faithhunt collects only what is necessary to provide the app's features:
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials unless you explicitly provide them.
Faithhunt includes a Christian Agent that reads your journal entries and provides faith-based encouragement, Scripture references, and reflective feedback.
To generate this feedback, your journal entry text is sent to Anthropic's API (the makers of Claude). Anthropic processes the text to produce a response, which is then displayed in the app. Your entries are transmitted securely over HTTPS.
Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it. Anthropic does not use your submitted data to train their models by default under their API terms.
We do not store your journal entries on our own servers. The text is sent to Anthropic in the moment you request feedback and is not retained by Faithhunt after the response is received.
Your journal entries, streak records, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This content:
Separately, a small set of account and purchase data is stored on our servers — see "Account & Purchase Data" below.
While your journal entries stay on your device, a small amount of account and purchase data is stored on our servers to support subscriptions, credit bundles, and feedback usage. This includes:
This data never includes the content of your journal entries — only the metadata needed to manage your subscription and credits. We do not sell or share this data with advertisers or data brokers.
Faithhunt uses the following third-party services:
We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or any other third-party data collection services.
Faithhunt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
You have control over both your on-device data and the account data stored on our servers:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice within the app. Continued use of Faithhunt after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
